Latest Report
Our last trip for the year was out of Arbroath on Sat 27th Sept. Again the weather was crap, With strong winds we headed out to the Bellrock lighthouse hoping the fish were there as reports from inshore were grim. Out at the rock they were scarce to say the least. Sam Noble came in 1st with Al Ritchie 2nd. The heaviest fish of the day went to Jim Bett. Lets hope next year is a lot better weather wise. I will be booking next years outings very soon and will pass them on ASAP.
Cheers Donald.

Our 8th trip out of Berwick-on-Tweed 13th Sept was cancelled due to bad weather. Our 9th and final trip will be out of Arbroath on the 27th Sept.

Our 7th trip was out of Arbroath on the 30th Aug 2008. Even with good weather the fishing was extremely poor to say the least. A.Ritchie was 1st with a weight of 10lbs 12ozs in 2nd place was D.Mackenzie 9lbs 4ozs the heaviest fish of 2lb 11ozs went to D.Mackenzie. Our next trip will be out of Berwick-on-Tweed on the 13th Sept

Our 6th trip out of Berwick-on-Tweed was again hit with bad weather on the day making for very poor fishing in 1st place with 15lbs was Don Mackenzie in joint 2nd place with 13lbs 8ozs were Al.Ritchie and Tam Richardson. The heaviest fish of 4lbs 1oz went to Jim Bett.

Our 5th trip was out of Arbroath 26th July saw 12 anglers catch over 200lbs of fish. The biggest part of the catch was 46 Ballen Wrasse a most unusual amount as we normally only ever get approx 6 at the most. We give 2lbs per Wrasse as we return all. In 1st place this trip with a weight of 33lbs 12ozs was Tam Richardson in 2nd place was Al Ritchie with a weight of 27lbs 4ozs the heaviest fish was caught by Tam Richardson 4lbs 4ozs. Our next trip will be out of Berwick-on-Tweed sat the 16th August. Cheers Donald.

Our 3rd trip was out of Berwick-on-Tweed sat 14th June. With a poor forecast we set out of Berwick not sure what the sea conditions would be like as it turned out it was just fishable, A good swell from the last few days made it interesting to say the least and as we had to stay close to shore most of the day catching fish provided a good challenge but we managed a mixed bag of cod-wrasse-pouting-collies and a catfish. In 1st place with 26lbs 4ozs was Al Ritchie in 2nd place with 20lbs was Don Mackenzie. The heaviest fish 5lb 8oz cod was caught by Jim Bett. Al Ritchie now has the heaviest specimen fish a catfishweighing 2lb 10ozs

Our 2nd trip for the year out of Arbroath 31st May. With light north winds and a sunny day in the offing our only worry was that there had been east winds for the last umpteen weeks stirring up the sea bed making for poor visibility and catching fish difficult. But on the day the water was not that bad and in 1st place with 30lbs was Sam Noble 2nd place with a bag of 26lbs went to Jim Bett. Heaviest fish 3lb 12oz cod went to Tam Richardson. Over all 12 anglers caught approx 120 cod 6 wrasse and plenty of under size ling well done all. Our 3rd trip will be out of Berwick-on-Tweed sat 14th June
At last the season has come around again. With the forecast of moderate SE winds of 15 to 20 miles it did not give us great hope for our first trip out Berwick-on-Tweed Sat 3rd May 2008. We had 8 anglers on Davy Thomsons boat On a Promise catching 110 fish for 144lbs. In 1st place was Don Mackenzie with 33lbs and 2nd with a bag of 24lbs was Tam Richardson. The heaviest fish went to Sam Noble with a cod of 3lbs 14ozs. Jim Bett with a Catfish of 1lb 12ozs is the holder of the specimen fish so far. Our 2nd trip for the year will be out of Arbroath on Sat 31st May
